Tax season at the Library usually shows up as plethora of
IRSInternal Revenue Service (IRS) forms and instruction booklets at the Library from January to mid-April. Most branches will have stacks of the more common IRS forms and booklets available
for taking after January 1st. These handouts will be removed from the Libraries after the regular income tax deadline date in April.
After mid-April, Library branches will continue to have
masters of forms from the season to photocopy and will continue to have access to the IRS site to download copies. If you need a particular form, please talk to staff at the Information Desk.
For actual tax consultations:
AARP has for several years organized volunteers to help out individuals on a first-come, first-serve basis. AARP/VITA Tax Aides reserve weekly space in selected library branches' meeting rooms for this purpose during the months of February and April.
More about tax-time can be found at the at the
Pierce County Library System web site.
