Advertising in user profiles is Spam

Users who join the wiki site solely for the purpose or promoting their own site and bombarding members with requests to visit a site is considered Spam, and is not allowed here. Such user accounts will be banned.

It is my intent to keep this wiki relevant to the Pierce County Library System, and to remove all advertising unrelated to the library.

Recently we see more accounts created for the purpose of advertising. Many new accounts are created and add advertising to their profile, then are abandoned. These accounts receive a message from the moderator warning them to remove the advertising. After a short time, these accounts are banned for being in violation of wetpaint rules. Do you find this valuable?
